PRODUCT INFORMATION

René copper sinks are crafted from 99% pure mined copper, and are free from additional metals and scraps. Because copper is naturally antibacterial and will not run or stain, the composition of these sinks makes them easy to maintain.

After the copper is mined through an extensive extraction process, our sinks are made using a one-piece construction process, giving you the strongest sink possible. The hand-hammered texture of each sink helps to conceal minor scratches that may occur over the lifetime of the sink. The finished product is fully insulated with sound-dampening pads to ensure your ultimate satisfaction.

All of our copper sinks are covered by a limited lifetime warranty.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

expand_more Why do your bronze and copper sinks have a patina?

Patina helps define detail and disguise minor scratches or blemishes that may occur to your copper or bronze sink over time. Since copper and bronze will naturally patina over time, your sink will continue to look beautiful for years to come.

expand_more Are your copper sinks made by hand?

Yes, our copper sinks are carefully hand-made and hand-hammered by skilled artisans.

expand_more Will my copper sink turn color over time?

Yes, a process referred to as oxidation naturally occurs when copper is exposed to oxygen. This process creates an aged patina finish. The patina is "live", meaning it will continuously darken the appearance of the copper throughout the life of the sink, and help to conceal minor scratches and blemishes.

expand_more Are your copper sinks antimicrobial/antibacterial?

Our 99.9% copper sinks are naturally antibacterial/antimicrobial and instantly kill a vast majority of bacteria they come into contact with. The EPA has established guidelines for advertising the amount of bacteria that is killed within certain time frames. René Sinks makes no assessment on how much bacteria is killed per hour. Our copper sinks are not intended to be sold as health products. As such, we recommend that your purchasing choice should be based on the size and appearance of the product, rather than its antimicrobial properties.

expand_more Why are copper sinks of the same model not identical to each other in size and finish?

Each one of our copper sinks is unique in appearance, and their sizes can vary up to 1/2 inch in any direction due to the fact that they are hand-hammered by skilled artisans.
